North Adams - Eagle Street

The downtown block of Eagle Street, a narrow commercial area just off Main Street, has always been a mix of Mom and Pop stores. Most of the buildings were built in the middle years of the 19th century, but because of many changes in the business climate over the years, the facades have undergone renovations of no consistent architectural style. Today, with everything beginning to look alike in America, the funky row of buildings on Eagle Street is quite an attraction for visitors to the city.
