North Adams Mills, Page One

Almost all of the photos in the galleries can be enlarged by clicking them.

I love to photograph old mills. Their faded colors and forlorn look perhaps reflect the real feelings of the many workers who toiled long hours in them for low wages. The Beaver Mill was converted by artist Eric Rudd to the Contemporary Artists Center in 1990. The pink-colored building across the street was painted by artists at the center. The Greylock Mill photo is a particular favorite of mine.  A large print of it hangs the in the lobby of the local Holiday Inn.
